The International Islamic College

The International Islamic College or in short, IIC, has taken its root ten years ago, which is, in turn owned by IIUM, as a gateway to the knowledge and erudition, IIC is a full subsidiary of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Holdings Sdn Bhd. IIC purports or serves to educate, train and impart noble values to young men and women who aspire, who wish, who hope to be the next generation of professionals and leaders.Under the Education Act 1996, a private college cannot be formed as a company but rather to have a managing company to own and to run the said college. Thence, in order to meet the requirements of the said Education Act 1996, a company known as Intelmatics Sdn Bhd with its registered address at Lot 6.1, Tingkat 6, Pertama Complex, Jalan Tuanku Abd Rahman, 50100 Kuala Lumpur, was formed or established on the 29th of March 2000 so as to be the managing company for International Islamic College (IIC). However, the 52nd Board of Directors’ Meeting of IIUM Holdings Sdn Bhd dated 19th of September 2007 had changed IIUM Education Sdn Bhd and divided it IIUM Higher Education Sdn Bhd (which comprises International Islamic College); and IIUM Lower Education Sdn Bhd (which consists of International Islamic School Primary and Secondary, Sekolah Taman Ilmu & Budi Primary and Secondary as well as IIUM Montessori). Whereby each company is a separate entity, standing on its own and having its own management structure. Ever since its inauguration, IIC has witnessed immense, noteworthy, remarkable growth. From a small-romanticcoloured building in Jalan Gombak to the currently larger, strong, vibrantly-coloured campus in Taman Batu Muda, IIC provides a diversity, miscellany environment for its students irregardless of their age, colour or even race or country. In spite of the ‘Islamic’ labeling, IIC has a lot of non-Muslims students, local and international, registering for the various courses offered, whom are able to blend in and mix very well with their Muslim friends and other course mates. IIC’s unique, distinctive educational methods of inter - twining both the revealed knowledge and acquired knowledge complement the very much – needed edification or education for the students so that they are able to stick to their guns, to have a firm stand, stance and belief in the pursuit of success in spite of challenges or obstacles; thus making it an educational-business thriving institution.
